The conference will be held at The Condado Plaza Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Reservations

Registering for the Conference does not reserve a room.

Reserve your room online. The ACSAC group rate will be $170 or the prevailing government per diem, currently $195 plus tax, whichever is lower. A mandatory hotel charge of $5.25 per person covers baggage handling (includes both check-in and check-out). A mandatory hotel charge of $0.50/day is charged for maid service. ACSAC attendees within the room block will be assigned ocean view rooms. Attendees who make room reservations prior to October 1st, when the new per diem is set, may have an adjustment in their rate, and a revised confirmation will be sent by the hotel. The group rate is guaranteed through November 15th.

Directions

The hotel is about a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport (about $20). Directions can be found at http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/puerto-rico/the-condado-plaza-hilton-SJUCOHH/maps-directions/index.html.

Parking

Parking is currently $19/day+tax (self-park) or $26/day+tax (valet), subject to change. Many restaurants are within walking distance or a short taxi ride, so most attendees will not need a car.

Meals

The conference provides meals as outlined in the program for attendees registed on those days. This includes continental breakfast, lunch (Monday-Thursday), Tuesday (light) reception, Wednesday dinner, and Thursday (light) reception.

Things To Do

The hotel is on the water, and is adjacent to a quiet public beach. Old San Juan, with its famous forts, restaurants, and shopping, is a 10 minute taxi ride. Other nearby sites include El Yunque rainforest, snorkeling, the Bioluminescent Bay, the Bacardi distillery, and the Arecibo Observatory. The optional Friday afternoon outing is still being organized; we are planning that to be to Arecibo.

Passports and Visas

Puerto Rico is part of the US. US citizens do not need a passport. Citizens of other countries (including US residents) follow the same rules as visiting anywhere else in the US, and need a valid passport.

Flights

San Juan is serviced by most major US airlines, and some European airlines.

ACSAC is pleased to offer a discount on Delta flights to & from San Juan. Discounted fares are available November 30, 2017 - December 13, 2017. Discounts depend on class of service and where you're traveling from (larger percentage discounts on international flights).

Reservations and ticketing are available via http://www.delta.com/air-shopping/searchFlights.action, and enter NMQKZ as the meeting event code.
