Panel Theme:

There is no doubt that the Internet of Things can produce massive amounts of data, and when massive amounts of data need to be wrangled, Hadoop is the go-to technology.

Some of this data is inconsequential: does anyone really care what my internet-connected refrigerator reports?  But some of this data has serious regulatory and privacy concerns: detailed heart rate monitor information from my last hospital visit, or perhaps the location data from my shiny new Tesla.

The potential sensitivity of data within Hadoop calls for enterprise-grade security practices. Come to this forum to learn both the state of the art and the future of Hadoop security from the leading practitioners in the field.
