Case Study: First Public Discussion of Unified Certification and Accreditation Process for the U.S. Government

This will be the first public session unveiling the new, unified C&A process following the initial public comment period (Summer 2008) and will serve to update attendees on the final NIST Special Publication. This effort will bring together the U.S. Defense, Civil and Intelligence communities into a single, unified C&A process based on the concept of near real-time risk management and the continuous monitoring of federal information systems. Gain insight from the authors on the design objectives for the new C&A process and discuss implementation and transition strategies.
